High Jump and Long Jump at Unicon XIV

Date and Location:

Sunday, 3 August at the Stadium, from 9:00 to 16:00. Tie-breaking will be done from 16:00 to 17:00

Rules: The IUF Rulebook (version 2008), Sections 2.18.9 and 2.18.10 will be used.

Tie-Breaking: Competitors who finish in a tie in the top 3 in their age group or overall will need to return to the competition area at 16:00 to attempt one more high jump or long jump to break the tie. If a competitor does not return to break the tie, they will be awarded the lower place. Example: Both Kristian and Jesper jump 1.2 meters in the high jump and are tied for 1st place. Krisitian returns to the high jump at 16:00 and successfully jumps 1.2 meters again. Jesper does not return and the high jump closes at 17:00. Kristian will be awarded the 1st place and Jesper will receive 2nd place.

Unicycles:  There are no limitations on wheel size or crank size for this event.

Required Dress: From the IUF Rulebook – Section 2.3, the required minimum dress is shoes, kneepads and gloves. In addition, from the IUF Rulebook – Section 2.18.9.1, helmets are required.

Age Groups: The age groups for high jump and long jump will be the same for both events. The age groups are subject to change, however when using the data from 12 March, the estimated age groups are:
  Female: 0-13, 14-16, 17+
  Male:  0-13, 14-16, 17-18, 19-24, 25+

Awards: Each male and female who places 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their age group will be awarded a medal. The three best male and female riders overall, the High Jump World Champions and the Long Jump World Champions, will also receive a trophy.
